Faculty of Advanced Engineering (FAE)

@Nara National College of Technology (NNCT) established the Faculty of Advanced Engineering (FAE) in 1992, which was the first of all national colleges of technology in Japan to have FAE. The FAE gives graduated students of national college of technology additional two-year education in order to let them get the bachelorfs degree of technology from National Institution for Academic Degrees and University Evaluation, when they complete required study conditions. All of the completed students of our FAE have obtained the bachelorfs degree.
@Recently about 60% of our FAE students go to the graduate school of national universities, such as Kyoto University, Osaka University, Nara Institute of Science and Technology etc, and about 40% of them get jobs of companies as college graduates.

Courses of FAE
@The FAE of Nara National College of Technology has three majoring courses: Advanced Mechanical Engineering Course, Advanced Electronic and Information Engineering Course and Advanced Chemical Engineering Course. The new students capacity to the FAE every year is 20 students, but actually from 35 to 45 students have been permitted to enter our FAE, because a lot of students with good school record at NNCT want to make an application for our FAE.

Application Qualifications
@The FAE requires for application one of the following conditions; (1) graduated from national or private colleges of technology, (2) graduated from junior colleges, or (3) educated for more than 14 years in foreign countries.
